Awesome Foursome

We had another of our long-awaited Oct baby playdates on Tues at Lyn's where Noey had a ball of a time messing with Kate's toys and Auntie Lyn's furniture.

I always look forward to these playdates both because the Mummies are such great, wonderful gals, and because it's so fun seeing what these kids, who are so close in age, get up to around each other.

As they grow, the difference between the boys and the girls is becoming more apparent. The girlies, Raeann and Kate, and so GOOD. Lyn brought out some snacks and the 2 little girlies spent a good amount of time just hanging out by the snack bar (or table, rather) and demolishing the gerber stars and biscuits. And amazingly, they didn't make a move towards any of the adult food placed on the same table. Kate even shared her food with Raeann, feeding her a star which Raeann obligingly accepted. Awww.

"Ahhh..." says Raeann and "MMMmmm... says Kate

Kate smiling for the camera! She was really good at that!

Noey on the other hand was much more interested in walking around, and getting up to no good. First he crammed a fistful of stars in his mouth, then he made moves on the curry puffs and muffins on the table. He then found Lyn's bar stool and led the charge as both he and Bean had a bit too much fun twirling it around and around.

Round and round...

Noey attempts his version of pole dancing while Bean cheers him on.

Mummy here clearly has to take firmer hand of this little monkey.

The babies don't know how to play with each other yet, though that didn't stop them from interacting.

Kate checks out Noey's head of hair

"Hmmmm, I wonder what happens when I press here..."

Guess we spent quite a bit of time trying to make sure that they didn't poke each other's eyes out or pull each other down! It was all in good fun though. And mostly they engaged in parallel play, though I'm sure each of them appreciated the company.

Noey examines the mechanics of the penguin slide while Kate smiles (again!) at the camera and Raeann takes a munch of some yummy balls. I totally loved her wide open mouth look!

The next time we meet it'll be to have a combined birthday party for the 4 of them. I guess the pity about them being born within 8 days of each other is that they'll probably not be able to attend each other's birthday parties since they'll be held over the same weekend. But no matter, that's why we're having our own little party. Am totally looking forward to that! And thanks for having us over Lyn. Sorry we didn't stay to help you clean up!

"Someone made a mess? Who, us?"
