Noey joined Nat, Edgar and little K for some sand, sea and surf at Sentosa on Saturday. As it turned out, while Noey had been alright with the beach in Bintan, he didn't want his feet anywhere on the beach this time. He clung to us rather desperately, trying to get as far away from the sand as we would let him.
So while the others frolicked in the sand and the sea -- Edgar in particular having a whale of a time -- Noey resigned himself to playing with the sand from the safety of his deck chair.
So uncooperative was he, Mummy here had to be roped in for the customary kiddy group shot.
Of course, after all the major paparazzi-ing, Noey decided to warm up to the sand somewhat. Then again, maybe he just got distracted and didn't realise he was on the sand till it was too late.
We definitely have to bring him to the beach again soon so that he gets used to it. If not, how are we going to relive our beach bum days?
haha his expressions are so funny lah! wonder why he was so disturbed by the sand all of a sudden...
ReplyDeleteman, Kristy's the same!! she freaks out on sand, and she's wearing her shoes some more. she'll freak out even more if i remove her shoes. is it that whole "ahhhh i'm moving on something that's not fixed!!" sensation that gets to them? hurhur.
ReplyDeleteDaphne :: Haha, actually I think it's him having more of an awareness of it. It's an age thing too I think -- the others were telling me how their kids didn't like the sand either when they were younger.
ReplyDeletePei Fen :: I think you're prob right. Noey was ok on the compacted sand then the waves came and pulled the sand from beneath his feet and he panicked. Haha!
Oh dear! I hope Bean is ok with the sand. He's NEVER been to the beach and I'm taking him there for the first time this Sunday.
ReplyDeleteThe pictures of Noey sulking is SO CUTE that I had to laugh out loud.
Oh you're not the only theme park Nazi. Shane refuses to travel anywhere if Theme parks are not included in the itinerary.
ReplyDeleteFor our honeymoon we spent one day at Paradise Country (which he sulked the entire day), one day at Warner Bros, one day at Sea World and one day at Wet n Wild. Then we flew back to SG.
Think I'll make a few trips to Universal Studios before I plan any trips overseas. Heh
So funny! Caitlin was like this too initially...she'd shudder and say 'owwee' everytime her toes touched the sand. Then the spades and bucket was too tempting methinks! hehe...
ReplyDeleteHAHA the first pic of his little feet curled up is so cute! I think kids just go through this stage where they find the sensation of sand very strange....
ReplyDeletehaha, the last pic is just too precious =)
ReplyDeleteDefinitely an age thing! Went through this with both boys. Aidan was fine with sand when he was younger. He now freaks out and hates the sand!
ReplyDeleteHe prefers dancing on the deck chair too! ;)
