KIDS' ACTIVITIES

Do you sometimes grumble that "there's nothing to do in Singapore"? I know we do. But the truth is, there are things to do, if you bother to make the effort. Of course, if helps if you don't mind getting hot out in the sun!

On this page is a list of places and activities we've enjoyed. We go to more places than I have time to write about so not all the links are updated. Maybe when I find the time! To get you started, here's an article I wrote for Yahoo! Parenting with a list of some of our favourite free/low-cost weekend activities:

Money-Saving Tips For A Great Family Weekend

I occasionally also publish an "Upcoming Events" page when I come across interesting events that are suitable for the whole family so do keep a lookout for that!

Museums

Museums are one of my favourite spaces, and since I've had kids, I've continued visiting museums, but this time with the kids in tow. The museums in Singapore regrettably do not have a dedicated children's area, but I've always found that the kids are able to learn a thing or two along the way. The museums also frequently incorporate some children's activities into their programming for each exhibition, which I appreciate. The highlight of the year however is Children's Season, which rolls round every June. That's when the museums run programmes targeted at kids, with open house days and plenty of children's activities. Always a hit with us!

Here are posts on some of the different exhibitions we have attended over the years.
