Rounding out...

With all the eating he's been doing, my baby has lost some of his newborn grumpy small old man looks and has started to fill out and look more like a baby.



Sometimes when I look at the pics we took of him at birth and a few days thereafter, I'm surprised at how much he's changed over the course of just 4 weeks, and how much he has grown. And to think that I was so distressed when we went back for his first week review to find that he had lost weight and weighed in at 2.95kg -- his birth weight was 3.33kg. We went to the paed yesterday, with him 1 day shy of 4 weeks and he was 4.5kg and had grown 5cm taller to 56cm. Hurray! I'd been regularly poking his thighs everyday and gain immense satisfaction from the fact that they'd been getting fatter and firmer -- Since I'm the milk cow here, I need affirmation that all that hard work is producing some results!

So yes, it wasn't my imagination that he's been a lot heavier to carry these days.

You're almost a month old baby -- can't believe time has passed so quickly...
