Noah & CNY

Getting through the Chinese New Year festivities with a baby in tow was infinitely more complicated, yet at the same time, it wasa lot more fun for us, bringing little Noey through our traditional Chinese New Year routine.

Noah got to 拜年...

Giving (or was it receiving?) the mandarin oranges to the gramps

...get involved with the Lo Hei

Everyone else starting off the Lo Hei

... and of course, collect lots of ang pows from adoring relatives.

What's this I've got around me? An ang pow bag?

Okay, carry on and fill 'er up!

Hey, where's everyone?

What he did miss out on was all the food! It'll be a while before he can participate in that significant aspect of the whole celebration.

We got to take a break in the afternoon on the 1st day to let Noah catch up on some sleep. It was a much appreciated break, but I was sorry that I missed meeting my cousins, aunties and uncles as they gathered at my 大伯's place that afternoon. I've missed catching up with my cousins during CNY since getting married (and having to follow DD's family around) and the afternoon slot would have been perfect. Ah well, let's hope they'll do that again next year!

Now we're all catching up on much needed sleep...

Still in festive red, though, really his PJs declare "Christmas!"

Noah looks so cute with the ang pao bag!

Keke, Nat's red PJs also declare "Christmas"! With polar bears.
