Gurgly baby smiles, just like this one, to start the day
A yummy lunch treat at Akashi Orchard, from a dear friend, with lots of satisfying girly talk
(No photo because I forgot my camera!)
Happy toes! The first pedi I've had in a long time!
A great view, at Salt, the venue of my "surprise" dinner for the night. We tried to locate my old home, or at least the plot of land it once stood on since it's since been redeveloped.
Cocktails! Took advantage of the fact that I would be out for a significant amount of time and that Nomi wouldn't wake for a feed till the wee hours of the morning to quickly get some alcohol in the system.
Some really good food. I wish we took some shots of the amazing beef that we had as mains. DD and I shared 900g of T-bone steak and it was sooooo good. My sis and Francis, who both joined us that night, had a ribeye and tenderloin respectively and those were good too.
A really mini cake! But I got a candle, and they piped "Happy Birthday" on the plate. I did joke that it would have been perfect if my name was Luke!
My day was complete when I received an mms from my in-laws, who had taken Noey out for the evening, reporting that my usually hard-to-feed son had fed himself practically all his dinner. Wow, that was quite some birthday present!
It was a birthday spent with my nearest and dearest and for a good part of the day, I didn't have to be a Mummy. That, in itself, was the best gift of all.
Oh, Happy belated birthday!!!! Looked like a great one :)
ReplyDeleteNish

ReplyDeletedon't ya just love picture updates from babysitters? makes going out on your own so much more relaxing. :))

ReplyDelete@fanyin yes, cocktails! they left me light-headed and happy for a while there. hah!
@Candice yah, pity my parents (my regular babysitters) don't do that. must train them!
