I've been particularly glad that the hotch-potch that is Turf City has been slowly evolving into a kid-centric place. We usually head towards Scrumptious for reliably good food (and a quick catch up with Bren when she's there) but this week, we decided to let Noey have some fun at Fidgets.
We got a little lost getting there -- it's above Giant so you should park at that end of the compound. We didn't know and ended up walking the entire length of the building and then some to get there. We got there eventually and it was certainly what it had promised: a huge playground. Think huge contraptions for climbing, slides, ballpits galore, etc. This was obviously more for older children (active ones at that), but the babies were also catered for, albeit in a much smaller area named "Little Fidgets".
Points to note: 1) the food is adequate, but definitely nothing to shout about. DD had a pizza and I had beef bolognaise and they were decent but forgettable. 2) Everyone (parent and child) entering the play area must wear socks so remember to bring/wear them! DD and I had to, err, share DD's socks since I didn't wear any.
All done with lunch and ready to play!
I did rather like the play area though I know Noey would enjoy it better if he was older and more mobile. I think he was a little confused by the fact that we were letting him crawl all over! Haha. He was also rather overwhelmed by the ballpit and kept asking to be taken out. Once outside however, he was perfectly happy chasing the loose balls around the floor. And let's not forget the climbing. He got the hang of that real quick.
Noey figures out where to place his feet...
And he's at the top!
Now trying the alternate route using the circular supports
At the end of the day, Mummy's still the best obstacle course!
Noey also had some extra fun, thanks to his own toys. Daddy brought along his favourite Duplo man -- part of his early induction to Lego by Daddy -- and Noey had a lot of fun exploring with Fonzie the Fireman.
"Ah hah!" Noey spots his favourite toy.
Got him! "Fonzie, let's go play!"
"Oh no, wake up!"
"Yay, this is fun!"
Guess we'll be back again soon!
looks like so much fun! i wish there was some huge place like turf city in the east side... sigh!
