Easter Bunny Comes Early

In what is becoming a yearly tradition, we joined the Tan family for their annual Easter Egg Hunt on Good Friday. It was a wee bit early to be enjoying Easter festivities on Good Friday but I think it also reminds us that Christ's sacrifice on the cross came to a glorious and victorious end and that is something to celebrate.

Unlike last year, Noey was actually able to actively participate in the hunt, which was a great deal of fun for him and us. (Maybe more for us!)

Listening to Godma Mich explaining the significance of Good Friday and of Easter and the eggs, symbolising new life.

Noey ready at the start line, being pep-talked by Mummy. (Win, win, win!)

All the little kiddies with their cups, ready to start while instructions are being repeated once again: no snatching, only one big egg each.

He's off!

Pick, pick, picking

"Hmmm, do I want this one?" (He didn't. Dropped it back on the grass.)

"Wow, I've got so many eggs, now what do I do with them?"

Chuck them all out again, that's what.

Mummy cleaning up while supervisor Noey looks on.

After all that hard work, we peeled open one of the chocolate eggs to let Noey have a bite of what would have been his very first chocolate (as opposed to bits of chocolate in a bun, for example, which he has had already). And surprisingly, after taking a bite, he didn't want any more! I was quite relieved. Looks like I can hold him off chocs for a while yet.

Sophie munches on her loot.

Noey prefers the mini mandarins to chocolate. Funny boy.

Zoe can only just watch now, but look out for her next year!

It was good fun for a Friday morning.

  1. Kate had her first taste of chocolate on Easter Sunday!

After her praisebabies nursery teacher said 'why not?' to me. ;)

  2. This looks so fun! I don't think Bean will be able to understand what's going on and join in the game like Noey did. He'll just probably run around and step on the eggs and sweets. Lol.

  3. lyndis :: so did she like it?

michelle :: maybe we can orgainse one next year! i'll go think about it. just realised that except for the babes in arms, noey was the youngest one there. he wasn't that enthusiastic and wanted to run off occasionally as well, and yes, step on the eggs! i think this would be a lot more fun once they are at the age where they appreciate chocolate!

  8. Natchin :: Yes, he can run, though not very fast YET, thankfully. It was fun, more for me I suspect than noey!
